I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are starting to prep for the upcoming holidays! On Saturday afternoon my husband and I decided to do a little Christmas decorating around our apartment. We picked up some beautiful pine (the smell is heavenly!) for our fireplace mantle at The Vintage Garden, a local florist. If you ever find yourself in the South End neighborhood of Boston you should definitely stop by and check this shop out…it’s a true gem we stumbled upon on our trek out for coffee. The gorgeous green color of the pine was a perfect prop for some pretty pictures to get us into the holiday spirit!
We had amazing weather in the city over the weekend, and because of that I was able to ditch my usual puffy parka and step out in a light sweater and fuzzy coat. I found this coat on sale at Nordstrom Rack at the end of the summer and it’s truly the coziest piece of clothing I own. It’s amazingly soft and the color is a pretty light gray that goes with virtually everything I own…it’s like wearing a hug (I also bought it in leopard…of course). I love a piece that can be dressed up or down!
I picked up this gray sweater/shirt combo recently and wore it under my jacket for warmth. It’s comfy, casual, and perfect for a weekend exploring the city. It looks like two pieces, but it’s actually only one…an easy and more comfortable take on layering. Thanks Primark! I also saw a similar style at H&M this season…you can’t go wrong with either store. They both offer such on trend items at super affordable prizes. You can’t beat that, especially around the holiday season when funds may be tight.
Along with the sweater, I also picked up this beanie at Primark. They have multiple styles and colors, most of which all will only set you back $10 or less! A great stocking stuffer idea if you ask me. Cute hats are a go to for me in the colder months…you can still look cute without sacrificing warmth.
