Street Fair Fashion

Hi Friends!
Every summer in Hoboken, I count down the days in mid July until the St. Ann’s Festival. It’s held over a week at the peak of the summer season and is filled with music, games, beer, and of course, delicious street fair food. You can smell the fried dough all throughout Hoboken, and the line for the famous Zeppole stand curls half way down the road. Last night, I braved the crowds in search of deep fried Oreos, mini doughnuts, and a Callahan’s Hot dog. One of NJ’s finest Hot dog establishments, Callahan’s slogan got me right from the start, “So big! So Good!”. Their food sure doesn’t disappoint. I topped off my eating frenzy with mini doughnuts (deep fried on site) smothered with fruity pebbles and marshmallow sauce. One word…heaven.
For these types of events I always wear a pair of sandals that are easy to walk in (but still cute of course!), and a comfortable dress that doesn’t cling to my body…when eating all types of amazing festival food, looser is always better in my book. I finished off my look with a tribal necklace, a straw hat to keep the sun off my face, and a cross body bag for convenience. The fringe on the purse goes perfectly with the summer festival vibe and holds all my essentials while leaving my hands free to eat and drink!
I hope you all have the chance to attend a street fair over the summer. They truly are the perfect way to have some fun, and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.
XOXO,
Marisa
