Wedding Bells Part 2

This past weekend I attended a gorgeous wedding in NY. It was right on the water overlooking two beautiful bridges and the NYC skyline…doesn’t get much better than that! Like many of you, any excuse to get dressed up in a cute cocktail dress and strappy heels makes me one happy girl. I love all weddings, but summertime ceremonies are my absolute favorite. I get to finally ditch my on repeat black cocktail dress and reach for bright colors and festive details. Something about the warm air and sunshine makes me want to experiment and have fun with my outfits. This BCBG cocktail dress was just the thing to break me out of my all black wedding wardrobe routine. The sweet mint color and playful, tiered silhouette made me feel like a cupacke…in a good way! The Kate Spade clutch added a whimsical touch to the dress and was big enough to hold all my wedding guest essentials. I had been patiently waiting for the right time to wear this special bag and was elated when I got the wedding invite…what could be a more perfect event for this clutch than a NY wedding?! It has the most adorable gold taxi cab clasp on top that I (along with everyone else at the wedding) am obsessed with. Thanks again Rent the Runway! I finished the look with a floral necklace, and nude ankle strap heels so comfortable I could dance in them all night long. I swear, I was the only girl there that didn’t have to change into flip flops by the time the cake was cut…Love was certainly in the air.
